The problem of massive failure of students in the early higher education scholarship. Historic basis, international comparisons The quantitative researches on the factors of success and failure in higher education The comprehensive researches: student's methodology of work; concept of affiliation, « relation to knowledge » Researches on teaching practices in higher education (occupational/alternance training, learning problems, case-based methods ...). The student's assistance and support devices. The devices design for teachers The nature of knowledge taught in higher education. Knowledges and teaching conditions. The « relation to knowledge » of students
