Research Project during MA1

The student has to show his ability to expose and to develop a question linked to his speciality, in an original, rigorous and scientific manner. The student has to demonstrate his ability to implement the knowledge and the methodologies acquired during his studies, following an well-argued, logical and coherent intellectual reasoning,

The dissertation consists in a personal written text presenting an original research aiming to contribute to the development of scientific knowledge. Il the dissertation, a principal question, clearly expressed in the introduction, is explored through methods acquired during the formation years, submitted to criticism and improved, eventually, with original or unpublished materials

The dissertation is prepared under the supervision of a promoter, a teacher, who assumes the supervision of the research process, and his evaluation. The dissertation is assessed by the following criteria: scientific papers, data and references works comprehension, forming the bibliography, the writing (style, harshness, formalism, clear thinking, spelling...), the personal contribution (critical reading, existing methodologies, cautious application to apply, new experimental results...) The dissertation is notated by a jury composed of three persons at least. It represent 250 points on a total of 1.000 in the evaluation of the Master. An oral defence is conducted
